On March 30, Da Nang Water Supply Joint Stock Company issued a warning about the situation of subjects impersonating water supply staff to defraud customers.

According to Da Nang Water Supply Joint Stock Company (DAWACO), the subjects often contact by phone, Zalo, requesting customers to re-sign service contracts or update payment methods. Along with that is a threat to stop water supply if they do not follow instructions.

The company representative affirmed that there is no policy requiring customers to re-sign contracts in this form. All activities related to water supply services are directly contacted by official employees, through the announced phone numbers.

Water bill payment transactions are carried out through official channels. Including automatic debit, banking applications, e-wallets, collection points or direct payment at water supply enterprises.

To prevent risks, DAWACO recommends that customers only receive information through official channels. Specifically, including customer care hotline 1900 234522; website system; customer care portal; Zalo OA "Da Nang Water Supply - DAWACO" with authentication; and email using the domain name @dawaco. com. vn.

In addition, customers can contact regional water supply enterprises directly to verify information when necessary. Carefully checking the contact source helps limit the risk of being scammed.

DAWACO requests people to raise their vigilance, not to follow suspicious requests from strange calls or messages. Absolutely do not provide personal information, accounts or make transactions without clear verification.

When detecting suspicious signs, people need to proactively contact the water supply unit via hotline or official channels for support.

The unit emphasized that proactively protecting personal information and property is an important factor, contributing to preventing increasingly sophisticated fraudulent acts.
