On March 28, in Da Nang, the Da Nang Software Enterprise Association (DSA) held an extraordinary Congress in the middle of the 2023-2028 term after being approved by the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Home Affairs.
The Association was established in 2009 according to the decision of the Da Nang City People's Committee, and is the first professional social organization in the software field in the Central - Central Highlands region. Through many congresses, DSA has gradually affirmed its role in the development of the local information technology industry.
This Congress is considered to be of special significance, with the highlight being the renaming from Da Nang Software Enterprise Association to Da Nang Digital Technology Association. Along with that is the amendment and supplementation of the charter to expand the scope of member gathering, not only limited to software enterprises but also including organizations, research institutes, training institutions and units related to the digital content industry.
This expansion is expected to create a broad cooperation ecosystem, contributing to promoting digital transformation and digital socio-economic development of the city in the new context.
A noteworthy content at the Congress was a specialized sharing session from a representative of FPT Smart Cloud - a member of FPT Corporation. Here, solutions on cloud computing and artificial intelligence were introduced to support businesses in optimizing operations and enhancing security.
In particular, the thematic report "AI in operation and corporate security - From strategy to implementation" presented by expert Phan Phu Thuan focused on the actual implementation roadmap, helping businesses improve operational efficiency and build multi-layered security systems.
After 17 years of operation (2009-2026), the Association has left many imprints in the technology community. From participating in building e-government systems, to contributing to the software export sector with a value of 185 million USD in 2025, total digital technology revenue reached 43.6 trillion VND.
In addition, activities such as DevDay Da Nang have become a reputable technology forum, contributing to connecting businesses, experts and improving the quality of information technology human resources in the Central region.
Not only stopping at economic development, member organizations also actively participate in charity activities, supporting the community, especially during major natural disasters in 2025.
With the orientation "Convergence - joint development in the new era", the transition to the Digital Technology Association model is expected to create new momentum, contributing to building Da Nang into a technology and innovation center of the region.
