Local police forces promptly rescued a case of a person jumping off the bridge; prevented another case of intention to jump off the bridge.

According to the Ministry of Public Security's electronic information portal, at 00:42 on March 31, 2026, Command Center 114 (Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police, Dong Nai Provincial Police) promptly rescued a case of jumping off a bridge at night in the Hoa An bridge area.

According to the developments of the incident, at night, immediately after receiving information, the River Fire and Rescue Police Team urgently reported to the leaders, and at the same time mobilized 1 canoe and 6 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene to deploy the search for the victim.

With a spirit of urgency and responsibility, the rescue force quickly discovered the victim in the bridge pier area in a tired state, showing signs of exhaustion. The working group approached, calmed down and brought the victim onto a safe canoe, and performed first aid in time.

After being cared for, the victim's health has stabilized. Functional forces have handed him over to Tran Bien Ward Police to continue handling according to regulations. The victim was identified as L.T. N (born in 1997), residing in the locality.

Previously, on the morning of March 29, 2026, in the area between Sat bridge (Ke Sat commune, Hai Phong city), Captain Vu Viet Bang - Officer of the Criminal Technical Department - Hai Phong City Police, when passing through the bridge area, discovered a couple showing abnormal psychological signs. Recognizing signs of unsafety, Mr. Bang proactively stopped the car, approached and learned about the situation.

According to Captain Vu Viet Bang, preventing the emergency situation, Captain Bang promptly held this person tightly, and at the same time persistently encouraged the couple to give up their negative intentions. Captain Bang quickly contacted Ke Sat Commune Police to coordinate support.

Immediately after that, Mr. Bang, along with functional forces and people, took the couple to Ke Sat Commune Health Center for health check, and then transferred them to Binh Giang District Health Center for further monitoring and handling.

Through verification, the husband is Mr. C.S. L (born in 1978), wife is Ms. C.T. P (born in 1977), both from Bao Thang district, Lao Cai province; Ms. C.T. P is currently working in Ke Sat. It is known that about 9 years ago, Mr. C.S. L was diagnosed with symptoms of muscle spasm, suspected of being related to mild conscious disorder and had to be treated with prolonged medication. Recently, the disease has shown signs of worsening.

At about 8:35 am on the same day, Mr. C.S. L had a strong seizure, complaining of pain all over his body, leading to a negative intention, trying to climb over the bridge railing to commit suicide, despite being persuaded by his wife. Fortunately, Mr. C.S. L was promptly supported by Captain Bang and people and transferred to the nearest Medical Center.
