On August 10, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Muong Khuong Commune Police had just praised Mr. Lu Chan Phang, born in 1963, residing in Xom Moi village, Muong Khuong commune, for his beautiful action when he picked up property and proactively found the person who lost it.
At about 8:50 am on August 9, on the way, Mr. Phang picked up a wallet.
Inside the wallet were personal papers in the name of Do Van Toan, born in 1990, and the amount of 14,375,000 VND.
Immediately after that, Mr. Phang brought all the property he picked up to Muong Khuong Commune Police to report, asking the police force to verify and find the owner to return.
Upon receiving the information, Muong Khuong Commune Police quickly conducted verification. The Police force also used information channels, social networks and propaganda in the area to find the person who dropped it.
At about 9:30 am on the same day, Muong Khuong Commune Police contacted Mr. Do Van Toan.
After verification, functional forces organized the return of all papers and the amount of 14,375,000 VND to Mr. Toan.
The property was returned on the same day, helping the lost person quickly receive their money and personal papers.
Mr. Lu Chan Pang's actions demonstrate honesty, responsibility and awareness of respecting other people's property.
This is also a beauty project, contributing to spreading the spirit of responsible living in the community.
Recognizing the meaningful action above, Muong Khuong Commune Police praised Mr. Phang.
The Commune Police hopes that kind deeds will continue to be spread and replicated among the people.
Through the incident, Muong Khuong Commune Police requested people when they pick up money, property or papers dropped by others to quickly notify and hand them over to the Police agency or local authorities.
This action helps property to be returned to the right person, while contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, maintaining security and order right from the grassroots level.
