On August 6, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that A Mu Sung Commune Police promptly supported, cared for and brought the two stray children back to their families safely.
The incident happened on August 5, according to information from the police agency, two children V.A. T (born 2016) and V.A. N (born 2020) left home intending to play at a relative's house.
Because they were not familiar with the road, the two children got lost in the Tung Qua village area, about 20km from their house. When discovered by people and the A Mu Sung Commune Police force, both were in a state of fatigue, hunger and confusion.
During the approach process, the police force encouraged, cared for, and at the same time tried to verify the identity of the two children. However, the children only remembered their father's name, did not remember the address of their residence as well as the phone number or contact information of their relatives.
By professional measures and the process of reviewing information in the area, A Mu Sung Commune Police identified the families of the two children, quickly contacted relatives to bring the children back home safely.
Timely support for the two young children not only helps them reunite with their families soon but also demonstrates the spirit of responsibility of the grassroots police force in ensuring security and order and supporting people when facing difficulties.
To prevent cases of children getting lost, especially during summer vacation, A Mu Sung Commune Police recommends that parents need to strengthen management and care for their children; guide children to remember the full name, address, phone number of relatives as well as skills to seek support from the police force or reliable adults when unfortunately getting lost.
When detecting a lost child or having related information, people need to quickly notify the nearest police agency for support and timely handling, ensuring safety for the children.
