Although it was the last day of Youth Month, the atmosphere in Son Tra village, Van Tuong commune, Quang Ngai province was still extremely excited when dozens of Van Tuong commune union members and people enthusiastically mixed concrete, determined to complete the 70m long road connecting Vuc 2 and Vuc 3 hamlets.
Witnessing the new road being gradually formed, Ms. Pham Thi Hoa (80 years old, Son Tra village) was very happy: "Previously, this road section was very low, every time the tide rises, it was flooded white. Recently, the government supported pouring soil to raise the foundation, but as soon as it rained, the road became muddy, to the point that even when sick, calling a car to pick them up was not possible. Now seeing the Youth Union coming to help complete the road, we all are happy.
The road in Son Tra village is just one of the many imprints that Van Tuong commune youth left in this year's Youth Month. Throughout March, a series of meaningful projects and tasks have been deployed synchronously, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere.
Not only stopping at superficial activities, the Van Tuong Commune Youth Union has proactively innovated its operating methods, focusing on practical tasks associated with the task of local socio-economic development. Typically, the project of planting 35 square banyan trees on the beach of An Cuong village and building two 15m long flower beds at the An Cuong Massacre Relic Site.
In addition to infrastructure renovation activities, education and union member development are also actively implemented by the Commune Youth Union. Specifically, the program "Happy and healthy children - Step up to the Youth Union" is organized in 11 teams in the commune, helping children better understand the tradition, values and role of the Youth Union organization.
Not only bustling at construction sites, Van Tuong Commune Youth Union also pays special attention to traditional education through a seminar program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Youth Union's establishment. The warm meeting between generations of Youth Union officials through periods is not only an opportunity to review glorious historical pages, but also to tighten the bond between the previous generation and today's young generation.
In particular, the coordination with the Youth Union of the Coast Guard Flotilla in the seminar on the role of youth in the "Easter of national rise" strongly aroused the sense of responsibility of youth in developing the marine economy associated with the task of protecting the sacred sea and island sovereignty.
Mr. Vo Thanh Dat, Secretary of the Youth Union of Van Tuong commune, said that the activities in this year's Youth Month are not only limited to movements but also focus on promoting the pioneering role of youth in building new rural areas, digital transformation and creating a beautiful lifestyle.
Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, Van Tuong Commune Youth Union sets a goal to realize more practical civil works, from supporting house repairs for households in difficult circumstances to promoting social security and environmental protection. In particular, the application of digital transformation will be a top priority, ensuring that activities always closely follow political tasks and are suitable for local characteristics.
