At the end of 2016, before releasing the album "Hung Dong", Hoang Rob and musician Khac Hung decided to remove eight completed recordings to start over. The two artists spent nearly two years exchanging and editing before finding a common direction.
This choice is different from the trend of prioritizing speed in the digital music market at that time. Instead of using familiar remixes or songs, all 10 works in "Hung Dong" were composed by Khac Hung specifically for Hoang Rob's violin.
The album combines world music, pop, electronics and folk materials, and is then introduced by a concert at the Hanoi Opera House. The project contributes to bringing instrumentalists to the center of a large-scale performance program.

Dawn" has received different reviews. Some opinions acknowledged Hoang Rob's risk when choosing all new compositions, while others said that the producer's mark is sometimes more prominent than the performer's personality.
However, the project is still considered a notable experiment of classical interweaving music in Vietnam. In 2017, Hoang Rob became the first instrumentalist to win the Cong Hien award in the New Artist of the Year category. Khac Hung was also honored in two categories: Musician of the Year and Producer of the Year.
Three years after "Awakening Dawn", Hoang Rob released the mini album "Chatting". If the previous project focused on violin, this product was built like a dialogue between musical instruments and the voices of Le Hieu, Quang Dung, Ha Tran, Thu Phuong, Duc Phuc, Kieu Anh.
To the album "Eternal Summer" in 2022, the male artist continued to put the overall structure in front of each individual song. SlimV and Hoang Touliver divided the production of 10 songs but discussed together to ensure unity for the entire album. The project is also combined with art exhibitions and multi-sensory concerts.
That way of working continues to be shown through "Hoa dao", Hoang Rob's performance at "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai 2026". According to the male artist, the idea for the work appeared in 2016. At that time, the title track of his debut album was once named "Hoa dao" before being changed to "Hung dong".
Nearly 10 years later, this image was developed into a complete work with the participation of musician Ho Hoai Anh, poet Ha Quang Minh and the nursery part written by Hoang Rob.
From "Awakening" to "Peach Blossoms", the projects show Hoang Rob's consistency: spending time developing the story, choosing collaborators and building the overall structure. The transformation lies in the color of music, and the continuous connection is the persistence in the creative journey of the violin artist born in 1991.
