According to Netflix, 8 weeks after its release on June 5, "Life's Lesson" reached 60.2 million views, ranking 10th in the ranking of non-English-language series with the highest viewership in Netflix history.
This is also the second Korean film to appear in this ranking. Previously, only "Squid Game" did the same, when all three seasons of the series were in the leading positions.
The film revolves around an inspection team from the Department of Educational Rights Protection, including Na Hwa Jin (Kim Moo Yeol), Im Han Rim (Jin Ki Joo) and Bong Geun Dae (Pyo Ji Hoon). They perform special tasks to handle school violence cases and protect students and teachers from acts of abuse in the educational environment.
The work attracts attention thanks to exploiting school issues inspired by real cases, combining action, humor and the feeling of "retaliation" for bullies, thereby creating attraction for global audiences.
Thanks to the success of the film, the cast also received public attention, continuously appearing in the top of television actors most discussed, confirming participation in new projects.
Also in Netflix's latest weekly non-English TV drama rankings (July 20-26), "Life's Lesson" continues to maintain its form, ranking 7th with 2.3 million views.
There are also 4 other Korean dramas in the Top 10 TV dramas, including "Dong Cung Curse" (2nd place), "Agent Kim Reboot" (3rd place), "Ghost Love Story" (5th place) and "Apartment Affair" (8th place).
