In parallel with the music film project "Light in My Heart", he released two new songs named "Thuong nguon nuoc mat" and "Cu ngu la chan ai".
Once known by the stage name Jay Hoo, Hoai Nhan debuted to the audience in 2017 after studying music in Korea. However, only a year later, the male singer was diagnosed with a dangerous disease that caused vision loss and finally completely lost the ability to see light.
The upheaval caused his music career to temporarily stop. After many years of facing inferiority and difficulties, Hoai Nhan decided to return to art with a new title - "vision-impaired singer Hoai Nhan".

I used to think I would lose everything when I lost my eyes. But then I realized I still have love for the profession, for life and for myself. I want to use my story to spread hope to those who are in the most difficult stage of life," the male singer shared.
According to Hoai Nhan, "Light in My Heart" is not only a musical film but also considered an autobiography in images about his journey through adversity.
The work is directed by Mr. To, filmed in Ben Tre for 4 days. The content tells the story of a young master from the Mekong Delta during the French colonial period who suddenly lost his sight due to a serious illness. In the days of sinking into despair, he met a poor and kind young man. From empathy and sharing, the two gradually developed feelings and became spiritual support for each other. However, social prejudices and the distance in circumstances created major challenges for this relationship.
The project gathers many veteran artists to participate in acting. Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc said that he accepted because of the sympathy and love for Hoai Nhan's willpower. Meanwhile, People's Artist Kim Xuan shared that the opportunity to meet visually impaired audiences who love the stage made her particularly touched when she received an invitation to participate in the film.
Besides the love story, "Light in My Heart" also sends a message about courage, self-acceptance and a desire to live positively. This is also a milestone marking Hoai Nhan's journey back to art after years of facing darkness, with a stronger version and more experiences than before.
