After announcing Ky Duyen to take on the role of Thi Mau, the crew of "Sisters and Sisters 3" confirmed that Chi Pu is the next female lead of the project. She plays Thi Nuong, a character introduced as charming, mischievous but containing many unpredictable things.
This is the second time Chi Pu has participated in the "Sisters and Sisters" brand. In 2019, she starred in the first part with Thanh Hang under the direction of Kathy Uyen. After 7 years, the actress reunited with producer Will Vu but with a completely new character and setting.
Chi Pu said she quickly accepted when invited back. "Brothers and sisters have always been a mark for Chi, so when Will contacted her, Chi agreed immediately after that day, without spending much time thinking," she shared.
According to the actress, the biggest attraction lies in the story and novelty of Thi Nuong. Chi Pu also calls this a role with the "most beautiful" image in her acting career.
The first images show Thi Nuong wearing ao tu than, appearing in a context bearing the Bac Ninh imprint. This image evokes the image of Quan Ho sisters, but the crew has not specifically confirmed the identity and profession of the character.
Producer Will Vu said he wanted to bring Chi Pu back to the brand after the first film. He assessed that the charm and mischievousness of the actress are suitable for Thi Nuong, while the character also has layers of personality that have not been revealed.
