According to data from the box office market, the 2026 Tet film season recorded a rare phenomenon when up to three Vietnamese films simultaneously achieved revenue of more than 100 billion VND, all of which premiered from the 1st day of Tet. This is the first time in about a decade that the domestic cinema market has witnessed this achievement, showing the strong attraction of domestic cinema.
In that overall picture, the movie "God-given Treasure" is considered one of the works contributing to the success of the film season. The film directed by Le Thanh Son chose a coastal setting, combining adventure, humor and family love elements.
The story revolves around the character Ngoc - a single mother played by Phuong Anh Dao - and her young son on a sea trip to temporarily leave the past upheavals. Here, she unexpectedly meets Hong - a fishing village boy played by Tuan Tran - who is related to the birth of the child. The twisted meeting drags the three strangers into many funny and tearful situations.
The film also features many familiar faces such as Quach Ngoc Ngoan, artist Trung Dan and actors La Thanh, Ta Lam, baby Mi Goi and Ngo Giang.
Sharing when the film reached a revenue milestone of 100 billion VND, director Le Thanh Son said he felt grateful for the affection that the audience gave to the work.
I am really grateful to the audience for supporting God-given Treasure. When starting the project, I just wanted to be able to tell a decent story about people and family. The figure of 100 billion is a great joy for the entire crew," he said.
After the film reached an important revenue milestone, the cast including Phuong Anh Dao, Tuan Tran, Quach Ngoc Ngoan and artist Trung Dan also took a commemorative photo set at Phan Thiet beach - the place associated with the film crew throughout the filming process. No longer in character designs, the artists appeared in modern fashion style amidst the sunny and windy coastal sea scenery.
