After 12 years away from artistic activities, actress Nguyen Cong Nuong has a remarkable reappearance when participating in the horror film project "Lau Chu Hoa - The Curse of the House of the Demons".
This time returning, Top 10 Miss World Vietnamese 2010 plays the role of Ms. Bach in the movie "Lau Chu Hoa". The character has a spiritual, mysterious color and has the task of exorcising evil spirits and catching ghosts. To transform into the role, Nguyen Cong Nuong had to spend many months practicing the Northern accent, learning to chant spells and adjusting her voice according to the director's requirements.
Despite having acting experience, the beauty said she does not consider herself a veteran face.
I am now like a rookie and need to learn a lot from young people. I am lucky to work in an open-minded crew, creating a comfortable feeling, so I don't feel too much pressure when returning to the film set," she shared.
According to Nguyen Cong Nuong, what made her decide to accept the project is not only the character Co Dong Bach but also the novelty of the film. "Lau Chu Hoa" is introduced as the first horror film found footage (video, camera or simulated documentary film) of Vietnam - a popular filmmaking style in the world but still quite new to domestic cinema.
The actress said that the filming method of this film genre requires actors to restrain emotions and act more naturally to create a realistic feeling in front of the camera.
