The "Dim Bao" poster series of the movie "Phí phông: Quỷ máu rừng thiêng" impresses with a gruesome image: the female character has three-eyelid eyes, the corners of her mouth stained with blood, while the male character has a cold face, blood flowing from the eye sockets. These details show the horror and spiritual colors throughout the film.
Notably, Kieu Minh Tuan (as Con) faced a big challenge with the scene of being hung upside down in the rain. The actor said he fell into a state of dizziness and shortness of breath when he had to hold fake blood and speak for a long time. The scene requires high physical strength, and at the same time must ensure safety in harsh weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Hanh Thuy (as Mrs. Huynh) plays the role of an exorcist with many continuous movement segments. The female artist shared that she had a low blood pressure after a period of high-intensity training and filming, due to having to focus on exorcism dance scenes.
Besides the two main faces, the film also features Bui Bai Binh (as Thay Mo), who has carefully studied the customs of the highlands to portray the role truthfully. Child star Nina Nutthacha Padovan (as Lua) also attracted attention when she had to speak entirely in Vietnamese, although this is her first time participating in a project in Vietnam.
In addition, Diep Bao Ngoc (as Mon) and Nguyen Sy Hau (as A Chai) have careful preparation in terms of psychology and physique. Actor Doan Minh Anh (as Duong) also shared that he once experienced a "cold back" when filming the role-playing scene.
The film revolves around the journey of two trainee sorcerers rescuing relatives amidst mysterious deaths in highland villages. The movie "Phí phông: Blood Demon of the Sacred Forest" is scheduled to be released early from April 16 and officially premiered nationwide from April 24, 2026.
