Lam Bao Ngoc shared her joy when her student Ha Chu Cam excellently won the highest prize in Group A for contestants aged 13-15 in the music category at ArtSense International Arts Festival & Competition 2026.
To accompany her student, the female singer went directly to Malaysia, supporting from the preparation stage to the official competition. In the competition performance, Lam Bao Ngoc also took on the backing vocals, helping the performance of the song "Training Season" become more complete.
According to Lam Bao Ngoc, Ha Chu Cam possesses outstanding musical talent from the first meeting nearly two years ago. The female singer was particularly impressed with the vocal range of her 13-year-old student and said that this is a rare voice, with many similarities to her.
Cam has the ability to absorb very quickly. As long as I model once, she can do it again immediately. That is very rare in a 13-year-old child," Lam Bao Ngoc shared.
Instead of choosing a ballad that is her forte, the female singer decided to let her students try their hand at "Training Season" - a song with a fast tempo, requiring vocal technique, performance ability and stage presence.
According to Lam Bao Ngoc, the biggest goal is not only achievements but also to help Ha Chu Cam step out of her comfort zone to access modern music trends.
The highlight of the performance is the high note section that is processed with many continuous transitions. The female singer said that Ha Chu Cam completed all technical requirements after only about 5 practice sessions, exceeding her expectations.
I believe you can achieve high results, but I still don't dare to expect too much because this is an international playground. When I heard the announcement that Ha Chu Cam won the Excellent prize, I felt that I had correctly assessed the ability of my student. You dare to challenge yourself, show the image of a true performer and leave an impression on the judges," Lam Bao Ngoc said.
