Not only exploiting the hot topic of fraud over the phone, the work also made the audience excited because it was the first collaboration between Lien Binh Phat and Tam Trieu Dang.
Director Oscar Duong said that he was completely surprised by the natural "chemistry" of the two actors: "At first, I was worried that they would find it difficult to find common ground, but after just a few working sessions, I realized that there was a special connection between them. When standing in front of the camera, they are no longer Lien Binh Phat and Tam Trieu Dang, but are truly two characters in love."
According to the director, it was the harmonious energy and genuine emotions that made him believe that this was a real couple, contributing to the soul of the film.

In the film, Lien Binh Phat plays Dang Thuc - a man who falls into a financial crisis and is accidentally caught up in a "fraud trap" over the phone, opening a chain of dangerous events. Next to him is Thanh Tam (Tam Trieu Dang) - a loving wife who is also a victim of a high-tech crime spree. The actor humorously revealed: The most difficult thing in the Money trap is to love Tam Trieu Dang. In fact, the challenge is not acting but expressing a four-year-long love - a deep, strong but no less lasting affection".
For her part, Tam Trieu Dang said she also had difficulty playing the role of a woman who loved unconditionally: "I have never been in love for more than four years, so that feeling is quite new. Thanh Tam is the type of person who dares to sacrifice everything for love, that makes me both admire and find it challenging to show off".
Not only a love story, Money Trap also recreates the painful reality of high-tech fraud crimes - an issue that is spreading in society. In addition to the main couple, the film also features Le Hai - a handsome man who is predicted to create a dramatic "love triangle".
The film is expected to be released nationwide from November 21, 2025.
