At the age of U90, musician Nhat Minh moved when confidently going on stage to practice singing and directly participating in the opening performance.
Many artists such as Long Nhat, Quoc Dai, Myra Tran, Hoang Trang, Luu Anh Loan, Diep Linh... gathered in the show came along with artist and musician Nhat Minh.
The singers arrived quite early to exchange with musician Nhat Minh about the circumstances of the birth of each song, in order to understand the spirit of the work before performing.
As a native of Hue, singer Long Nhat easily immersed himself in the melody "Em ve voi Hue", while Hoang Trang confidently performed the song "Bong tinh yeu" - once associated with famous singer Thai Thanh. Myra Tran took on two important songs in the program and received many compliments from the author herself.
Musician Nhat Minh expressed his emotion: "Everyone sings very well, especially Myra Tran and Hoang Trang. I am really satisfied to hear young voices perform my work.
After the singers' rehearsal, musician Nhat Minh also stepped onto the stage, rehearsing the song "I go looking" with his niece's piano accompaniment - currently a lecturer at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. This is also the opening performance that he will perform in the music night. Although in his 90s, the musician still appears steadfast and full of energy.
He shared: "I have been familiar with the stage since I was the Head of the Southern Film and Music Troupe, so I don't feel nervous. Singing for fun and for the audience is already happiness for me.
General director Quoc Thuan said that the performance of musician Nhat Minh singing with his granddaughter has a special meaning, is a symphony between two generations of artists. "You are very energetic, even many young singers may not have such a spirit. When watching the singers practice, I shed tears and sang along. I believe this will be the most emotional moment of the program," Quoc Thuan said.
Live show "Men Doi" has the participation of many names such as Ngoc Son, Ngoc Anh, Long Nhat, Lam Vu, Phan Dinh Tung, Quoc Dai, Hien Thuc, Myra Tran, Luu Anh Loan, Hoang Trang... Initially, singer Nguyen Phi Hung participated, but due to health issues, Bach Cong Khanh was invited to replace him.
The music night includes 13 typical songs from the legacy of more than 100 compositions by musician Nhat Minh.
