Producer and businessman Dung Binh Duong has just published a review of Vietnamese films currently attracting attention in theaters, in which the film Ma da received great attention from the audience.
She commented that the horror work starring Viet Huong has a novel theme.
“Previously, Vietnamese horror films were quite picky about audiences because the content and presentation were not up to par. However, this time, I appreciate the movie Ma da. This is a work worth seeing. In particular, through Viet Huong's experienced acting, the film scored even more points with the audience," shared producer Dung Binh Duong.
According to producer Dung Binh Duong, with a duration of 95 minutes, the film Ma Da brings viewers the complete story of the journey of Ms. Le (Viet Huong), who works to pick up dead bodies from the river to bring them back to her family. family.
However, she affirmed that the film still has regrettable points: "The film's rhythm is monotonous and the effects are few. The main theme is Ma Da, but the film does not explain why Ma Da lives underwater and not on land. If the director combines tragedy and comedy, Viet Huong's acting strengths will be fully exploited. In addition, the music in the movie is not too impressive."
The movie Ma Da is the only Vietnamese work to hit theaters on August 16. Currently, film revenue reaches more than 100 billion VND (according to Box office Vietnam). Producer Dung Binh Duong predicts that Viet Huong's horror work will have an exit revenue of about 150 billion VND.
"Because it doesn't compete with any other Vietnamese works, Ma da has many advantages. I feel that the movie trailer is not impressive, so producers and theaters need to step up promotion... to attract audiences to theaters," Dung Binh Duong added.
On this occasion, the "hundred-billion producer" said that her passion for filmmaking is always "burning" inside her, so she never falters.
“The passion for film production is still hidden in my thoughts and soul. I will definitely return to investing in movie production and return to showbiz with a new image in the near future," Ms. Dung Binh Duong revealed.
Producer and businessman Dung Binh Duong (born in 1964) has produced many television series and 3 movies: "Tik Tak, I love you"; "Uncle, don't marry my mother" and "Stupid 17 year old". She invested tens of billions of dong in every movie.
