At the program "The Origin of Convergence of Essence" on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the University of Industrial Fine Arts, designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam presented the collection "The Essence of Convergence" consisting of ao dai designs with unique designs and inspired by the essence of the country and the world. This is also the designer's gratitude to the teachers who have guided him.
To prepare for the collection presented at the program “The Origin of Convergence of Essence”, designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam took inspiration from traditional culture and contemporary art of Vietnam combined with masterpieces of world-famous painters. All created 30 Ao Dai designs with three impressive styles, each style carries its own inspiring story.
Of which, 10 designs depict lotus, dragon, phoenix, with meticulous hand-sewn techniques, expressing the national identity. Next are 10 Ao Dai works that embody creativity, blending tradition and contemporary art through the image of the phoenix. And especially 10 Ao Dai designs inspired by immortal works of art by famous painters, as a bridge of culture and diplomacy, expressing international exchange and friendship through art and fashion.
Designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam said that although he has presented his collection at many big events such as New York Couture Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week – Haute Couture,... when he returned to his old school and met his teachers and young generations of students, he still felt very emotional.
Mr. Vu Chi Cong, Former Acting Principal of the University of Industrial Fine Arts, shared: “The development of Ao Dai fashion has created a very unique dressing culture not only domestically but also with international friends.
The Ao Dai performance by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam - a former student of the school - brought a very important mark to the program in particular and to the entire event celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment and development of the University of Industrial Fine Arts.
