This is a large-scale live performance, recreating the true story of General Jang Han Sang. The play was written and directed by Lee Jung Nam, with the participation of many leading Korean music artists, in which the main role belonged to artist - singer Kim Jun Hyun.
In this collaboration, People's Artist My Uyen took on the role of wife of General Jang Han Sang. She will appear in chapter 7, with the dialogue combining singing and dancing, depicting the emotional moment when the wife sends her husband off to the sidelines. Currently, People's Artist My Uyen is practicing with the crew, with the support of the Korean - Vietnamese sound transfer from musician Van Tu Quy.
The opportunity for cooperation comes from the cultural exchange between the Busan Theater Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Festival from 2024. Director Lee Jung Nam has directly watched many plays in Ho Chi Minh City and highly appreciated the creativity and ability to convey emotions of People's Artist My Uyen. It is this impression that paved the way for the female artist to participate in an international-scale historical music project.
According to the schedule, People's Artist My Uyen will have four performances from September 11 to 14 at a special stage in Gubong Park, Namdaecheon River, Gyeongbuk Province. This is considered a memorable milestone in her career - a stage and film artist who has been involved in the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Theater for more than 30 years.
