According to the organizers, the contest aims at the "national" criteria - that is, expanding opportunities for many audiences, not limited to contestants who already have a background in the entertainment field. Besides appearance, the contest focuses on the journey of maturity, personal stories and the ability to spread positive values of contestants.
People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi was announced to hold the role of head of the judging panel. With a long artistic background, she was the 2nd runner-up of the Miss Vietnam 1994 contest and is currently active in the field of theater. The fact that the female artist takes on the position of "judge" has received attention, but also raised expectations about professionalism and impartiality in the judging process.

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi said that the evaluation criteria will not stop at beauty but also include behavior, personality and ability to contribute to the community. According to her, the title of Miss in the current context needs to be associated with social responsibility, instead of just being formal.
In addition, singer Doan Truong also participates in the judging panel. The male artist is known through many artistic and media activities, and has held the role of judge in some previous competitions. His presence is considered to add a multi-dimensional perspective in evaluating contestants, especially in terms of performance and stage style.
Director Trung Hoang said that the contest will incorporate content about the contestants' lives, careers and personal journeys, instead of just focusing on traditional competitions. This approach aims to more fully reflect the image of Vietnamese women in the modern context.
It is expected that the "National Miss Vietnam" 2026 contest will be held at the end of July 2026.
