Returning to Vietnamese screens in 2024, director Vu Ngoc Dang and producer Will Vu chose to exploit social issues, messages of family and couple love through a humorous lens with the film project "The Bride of a Rich Family".
According to data from Box Office Vietnam, the film earned 35 billion VND on October 20. The total revenue of "The Rich Bride" in October 2024 was nearly 60 billion VND.
Released in mid-October 2024, "The Bride of a Rich Family" continuously faced many films - "heavyweight opponents", however, the film still maintained its appeal.
One of the factors that contributed to the film's success was director Vu Ngoc Dang's creative use of materials.
"The Bride of a Rich Family" was directed by Vu Ngoc Dang based on the theme of becoming a daughter-in-law of a rich family. The film focuses on exploiting and exposing many dark and bright aspects of the story of a family with equal social status.
In 114 minutes, the film brings many bitter laughs and meaningful moments revolving around love and family affection.
