The film officially went to theaters on December 31, 2025 and surpassed the milestone of 1 million tickets after 12 days of screening - becoming the first Korean film released in 2026 to achieve this achievement. After that, the film held the top 1 domestic box office for 3 consecutive weeks and continued to set a new record on the morning of January 26.
According to the Korean Film Council, the Korean version of "We of Late" sold 2,001,032 tickets, becoming the first romantic film to reach this milestone after 7 years, since the successful 2019 romantic film - "Sweet and Crazy". In addition, the above achievement also helped the work surpass the hit 2022 romantic film - "Determined to Break Up" - which attracted 1.91 million tickets.
Korean media assessed the success of the Korean version of "We of Late" from the word-of-mouth effect.
