The movie "Ho Linh Trang Si - Mystery of King Dinh's Tomb" has just been invited by the organizers of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2026 to participate in the Gala Presentation category - one of the most prestigious categories of the event.
This is a category for large-scale works, with artistic value and the ability to reach a large audience. Many films that were screened at the Gala Presentation have since been successful at international awards, including the Oscars.
According to the crew, at this year's TIFF season, the Gala Presentation category has 23 selected works, of which only two representatives are from Asia, Vietnam and Korea. The Korean representative is "The Assassin(s)" by director Hur Jin-ho with the participation of Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il and Lee Min-ho.
Participating in TIFF helps "Hộ linh tráng sĩ - Bí ẩn mộ vua Đinh" have the opportunity to reach international professionals, and at the same time compete for the People's Choice Award (Audience Choice Award) and awards from critics such as FIPRESCI and NETPAC.
TIFF 2026 takes place from September 10-20 in Toronto (Canada), considered one of the most influential film festivals in the world and an important starting point for the international film awards season.
The film is directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, gathering a cast including Johnny Tri Nguyen, NSND Tu Long, Tuan Tran, Thien Tu, Do Thi Hai Yen, Quach Ngoc Ngoan, Hua Vi Van, NSND Nhu Quynh and many other artists. Johnny Tri Nguyen also takes on the role of martial arts director; the visual part is in charge by Nguyen K'Linh, the music is performed by Quoc Trung and Luu Quang Minh.
