The work, directed by Hong Won-ki, attracted attention when it continued the milestone of cinematic cooperation between the two countries after the film " Muoi" (2007). The project 18 years ago left a mark in the hearts of audiences and contributed to creating momentum for Vietnamese horror films. Therefore, the movie "Se Xuan De" is expected to bring a worthy scary experience when released in theaters at the end of 2025.
According to the introduction, the film opens up a dark supernatural world: every night the gate of the sound market opens, the Devil will capture the soul, and humans can exchange the soul to achieve what they want. But once I dare to sell my "people" for free, the price I have to pay can be blood, meat, or my own existence. The trailer highlights the chilly cold air, consecutive mysterious phenomena and the feeling of surroundedness, creating a tense film beat.
The project's cast brings together many prominent names from Korea and Vietnam. On the Korean side, there is Yoo Jae-myung - a veteran actor familiar with the screen, who has made his mark in both cinema and television and won the Baeksang award. In the new film, he plays Dong Sik, a police officer who accidentally gets caught up in a series of mysterious supernatural phenomena. Accompanying the actor is Moon Chae-won - "Korean Juliet" - returning to cinema after more than 7 years, having been honored at the Blue Dragon, Dai Chung and KBS Drama Awards.
On the Vietnamese side, there are Hua Vi Van, Dinh Y Nhung, Ngoc Xuan, Emma Le... Hua Vi Van is a familiar face of many popular works. Dinh Y Nhung is widely known to the public for his horror roles, including his mark in the movie "That Son Linh Linh". Ngoc Xuan - who attracted attention with "Once Upon a Time There Was a Love Story" (2024) and won the Promising Actress Award at the Hanoi International Film Festival 2024 - promises to "change the wind" when entering the spiritual and scary genre.
The movie " market of the Devil" is expected to be released nationwide from November 28, 2025.
