At the wedding, Kim Anh (played by Ha Anh) entered the party and witnessed her entire world falling apart in an instant. In the midst of the bustling atmosphere of the wedding, Quoc Quan (played by Sy Toan) - a man with a deep hatred - coldly barged in and caused a bloody massacre.
With the brutal act of assassinating his adoptive father Ma Tai (played by Nguyen Duong), Quoc Quan not only ruined Kim Anh's big day, but also turned the wedding into a terrible tragedy. From joy, Kim Anh fell into a state of anger and disappointment when everything she had believed in and expected was swept away in the violence.
Meanwhile, Chau Vinh’s story is a more deeply personal tragedy. Once a promising and idealistic police officer, Chow Wing spent his life pursuing justice. But when his lover was murdered by Ma Tai, Chau Vinh’s belief in justice began to waver. With the loss of love, he lost his motivation to live and easily fell under the control of the drug lord, whom he had previously considered an enemy.
Working for Ma Tai because of oppression, Vinh gradually sank into addiction to escape the bitter reality. His marriage with Quynh Lam (Thu Bi) only made Vinh more painful. Unable to find salvation in his new love, Vinh sank into anger, depression, violence towards Lam and obsession with her past with Huy Cuong.
When Quynh Lam decided to leave him, Vinh's complete collapse was inevitable. Addiction, violence, and hallucinations of guilt pushed him to confess all his crimes before the altar of his comrades. Was this his moment of redemption?
The special feature of "Nguoi tham lang" in the newly aired episodes is the clever connection between the two tragic lines. The assassination at Kim Anh's wedding and Chau Vinh's self-destructive journey are not simply two separate stories, but they are intertwined and reflect each other.
