On September 3, the organizers of "Say Hi" announced 5 international producers participating in Livestage 4 including Danny Chung, Francisgotheat, Dylan Matthew, Softest Hard and Softserveboy.
Unlike the role of performing guests, each producer will work directly with a team of 4 artists, developing products from available demo versions.
In particular, Danny Chung accompanied the Quang Hung Masterd team including Quang Hung Masterd, Phap Kieu, Coolkid and Captain Boy with the song "Laviem".
Danny Chung is a Korean-American musician and rapper who has collaborated with Teddy and The Black Label. He participated in composing many Blackpink products such as "How you like that", "Pink venom", "Lovesick girls", "Shut down".
Francisgotheat worked with Hurrykng, Xuan Dinh K.Y, Kim Long and Duong Domic in "Overcoming the threshold of love". The Vietnamese-Canadian producer was once named in the credits of Drake, Big Sean, Eminem, Lil Uzi Vert and Zayn's products. The products he participated in production reached more than 1.5 billion listens on digital music platforms.
Dylan Matthew collaborated with Congb, Buitruonglinh, Dang Hong Hai and Cody Nam Vo to develop "Old perfume". The American artist is known for "Love is gone" in collaboration with Slander. The song achieved Double Platinum certification in the US, the versions attracted a total of more than 1 billion listens.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese-American DJ and producer Softest Hard worked with Jsol, Son.K, Hyo and Ivan in "Save the World". She appeared at Coachella, EDC Las Vegas and collaborated with T-Pain, Kali Uchis, and Skrillex.
The other producer is Softserveboy (Peter Chun), accompanying the Wren Evans team including Wren Evans, Ali Hoang Duong, Jaysonlei and Wean in "Later Days". He has worked with Gwen Stefani, Seventeen, Enhypen, Exo and Jihyo (Twice).
Thus, Livestage 4 is built according to a structure of 5 teams, 5 producers and 5 demo versions. Producers directly participate in the song development process instead of providing a complete product.
According to the organizers, working with producers from many markets also poses new challenges for the 20 artists in terms of how to exchange, build mixes and harmonize the personalities of each member.
