Overcoming heavyweight opponents, contestant Duong Phuong Thao (SBD 196) from Hanoi was crowned Miss Galaxy Vietnam 2026 (Miss Galaxy Vietnam 2026).
She also won a sub-award for Miss Body Beautiful. It is known that Duong Phuong Thao was born in 2006, and is currently a student at Hanoi National University of Education.
The special feature of the Miss Galaxy Vietnam 2026 contest is the technological imprint integrated throughout the final night, creating clear differences compared to many other beauty contests, opening up a dialogue between beauty and technology.
New Miss Duong Phuong Thao received a question about the fact that artificial intelligence (AI) is supporting young people in learning and work, so how should AI be used to avoid becoming dependent?
In her answer, she shared that she still uses AI as an assistant to support work. However, she affirmed that the creator of creative value must ultimately be the human being.
Accordingly, the new Miss was awarded a crown named "Beautiful Milky Way" with a design taking peony flowers as the central highlight, combined with lines simulating a modern technology network, creating a harmonious and brilliant overall look like a galaxy.
The crown not only honors the luxurious and elegant beauty but also sends a message about the intellectual beauty, bravery and aspiration to rise up of Vietnamese women in the new era.
The final night was held at 8/5 Square (Moc Chau, Son La) with the competition of the Top 30 contestants.
The contest is one of the outstanding activities within the framework of Moc Chau Culture - Tourism Week 2026, and also the event closing the series of activities of Moc Chau Culture - Tourism Week this year.
According to assessment from MSc. Dam Huong Thuy - Head of Miss Galaxy Vietnam 2026 Organizing Committee, the contest, besides honoring the inclusive and traditional beauty of Vietnamese women, also carries the aspiration to honor a new generation of women - those who have both knowledge, technological thinking, dedication and are ready to accompany the country's strong digital transformation.
The contest is not only a journey to find the owner of the crown, but also a journey to find women who truly know how to build the future" - Ms. Dam Huong Thuy emphasized.
In addition to the Miss title, the contest also awarded the title of 1st Runner-up to contestant Duong Ngoc Tram (SBD 636) from Can Tho; 2nd Runner-up is contestant Tran Thi Bao Nhi (SBD 505) from Dong Thap; 3rd Runner-up belongs to Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao (SBD 866) and 4th Runner-up is Nguyen Ngoc Khoi Nguyen (SBD 102) from Can Tho.
