On the afternoon of March 22, at Nguyen Hue High School (Phu Xuan District, Hue City), the 2nd STEM Festival organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University in coordination with the school attracted more than 2,000 students to participate.
The festival includes 3 exam contents: water missile manufacturing, generator manufacturing, and Robot creative programming, combined with knowledge from grades 10, 11, and 12 of high school. There are 33 teams with more than 200 students competing in the qualifying round and finals.
The event also brought students technology products such as artificial intelligence robots, Cokey Rocky Robots, VR virtual reality, artificial intelligence application games, guided by students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
This is an activity under the STEM education project implemented from 2022-2025, to support the STEM education program at high schools, one of the focuses of the new general education program.
The festival helps bring STEM education to schools, form STEM clubs, create opportunities for students, teachers, and parents to explore and experience science.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology also awarded prizes to excellent teams, 5 scholarships to Nguyen Hue High School students, especially scholarships for grade 12 students who won prizes in the 2025 university entrance exam to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lich - Head of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - shared that this is an important educational activity, connecting university and high school training, helping students not only be good at their profession but also have the spirit of contributing to society.
