By February 14, 100% of secondary schools in Kien An district had stopped organizing extra classes at schools for students not covered by Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular 29 (students with unsatisfactory results in post-school subjects at the school's educational level; students selected by the school to train excellent students; final year students voluntarily register to review for entrance exams and graduation exams according to the school's education plan). The schools have also developed a plan to organize additional knowledge teaching for grade 9 students with 3 subjects: Math, Literature, English.
Regarding extra-curricular teaching, according to statistics in the district, by March 6, 2025, 40 other centers providing continuing education and the Center for Supporting the Development of integrated Education have been licensed by the Department of Education and Training. By March 21, the whole district had 1 cooperative and 111 households registered to do business in the additional teaching profession.
To strictly manage extra teaching in accordance with regulations, the District Department of Education and Training and some wards have also inspected and grasped the situation of organizing extra teaching outside of school, as well as the necessary conditions to ensure the organization of extra teaching by teachers.
Mr. Nguyen Phong Doanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee - suggested that schools should manage teachers who teach extra classes outside of school well, have a firm grasp of the number of teachers who teach extra classes and the number of students who take extra classes; the organization of extra classes for teachers must comply with regulations. In addition to managing the extra teaching of teachers, schools continue to focus on improving the quality of teaching of main lessons at school.
The leaders of the District People's Committee also requested relevant departments of the district and wards to coordinate in reviewing, grasping and inspecting the organization of extra teaching as well as the activities of centers, cooperatives, and business households in the extra teaching profession in the district, and promptly correcting if violations were detected. In addition, strengthen close supervision of ensuring conditions: safety, security and order, fire prevention and fighting at facilities and business households in the extra teaching profession.
