Agentic AI Build Week 2026 is one of the large-scale Agentic AI programming competitions in Southeast Asia, gathering more than 3,000 participants, more than 400 projects and more than 70 international experts and judges.
At the competition, students of FPT University (FPTU) participated in 5 teams and won many rankings, including Top 1, Top 2, Top 6 and Top 10 in categories related to AWS, and one award voted by the judging panel.
Overcoming 3,000 students from 50 countries at Agentic AI Build Week 2026, the OneTeam team including two FPTU students - Bui Minh Viet (K18, majoring in Software Engineering) and Nguyen Van Anh Duy (K18, majoring in Artificial Intelligence) - along with other members - made their mark when winning Top 1 in the Built with AWS category and Top 5 in the F&B Track category.
The OneTeam team made a mark through the "AWS-Powered Agentic Ordering for KFC Vietnam" project with AI assistant KFCBot to support customers in finding food, selecting products and ordering KFC directly on Zalo and WhatsApp without switching to other applications. The solution is built on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore platform, combining AI and cloud computing services of AWS to process the entire ordering process in just 3-5 seconds. The project is highly appreciated for its ability to connect AI technology and practical applicability.
Sharing after the competition, Bui Minh Viet said that during his majoring in Software Engineering at FPTU, he had many opportunities to access AI and learn how to bring AI into each product development stage. "The Harness program helps me understand the process from brainstorming ideas, analyzing requirements to designing and perfecting products. Thanks to that, I am more confident when experimenting with new technologies and turning ideas into practical solutions" - Viet shared.
Meanwhile, for Nguyen Van Anh Duy, the biggest highlight of the competition is not only the prize but also the journey to overcome personal limits. The male student recalled the almost sleepless period of 48 hours to complete the product before submitting the paper, continuously optimizing system architecture and handling arising errors.
Mr. Duy expressed: "The most precious thing after the competition is the opportunity to learn, connect with new friends and work with members from many different platforms.
In addition to the Top 1 achievement in the Built with AWS category of Minh Viet and Anh Duy, FPTU student groups participating in the Agentic AI Build Week 2026 also won many other awards such as: Top 2 Runner-Up AWS Track, Judge’s Choice - Built with AWS Track, Top 6 AWS Track, Top 10 AWS Track.
