On April 12, at Mien Tay University of Civil Engineering, the Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) of Vinh Long province organized the 2026 enrollment and career counseling program.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Dao Huy Hoang - Vice Rector of Mien Tay University of Civil Engineering - said that in the context of the Government promoting investment in infrastructure projects such as expressways, railways, housing and industrial development, the demand for human resources in the architecture, construction, and transportation industries is increasing.
According to Mr. Hoang, the school is assigned the task of providing about 10,000 high-quality human resources for the construction industry in the Mekong Delta region by 2030, meeting development requirements in the new period.
This is both a challenge and an honor for the school collective to contribute to the development of the region and the country," he emphasized.
He also recommended that students carefully consider when choosing a career, based on combining passion, personal ability and social needs.
At the program, representatives of businesses provided information about recruitment needs, labor market trends, as well as job opportunities in the fields of construction, architecture, transportation infrastructure and new technology applications.
The units also committed to accompanying the school in training, creating conditions for students to intern, practice and access the reality of the profession.
The program awarded 131 scholarships to students from schools participating in counseling, to encourage their learning spirit and career orientation.
On this occasion, Mien Tay University of Civil Engineering also awarded scholarships to support 24 high schools participating in the program, each school receiving a support of 5 million VND.
