In order to support students to get acquainted with the exam structure and exam room pressure, the High School for the Gifted - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City organizes a mock entrance exam for 10th grade - phase 1 of 2026.
The exam is for 8th and 9th grade students, creating a practical experience before the official entrance exam in the 2026-2027 school year.
According to the plan, candidates will take non-specialized subjects including Math, Literature, and English on March 28, 2026. On March 29, 2026, candidates will continue to take specialized subjects.
The venue is at An Dong campus of the High School for the Gifted, No. 153 Nguyen Chi Thanh, An Dong Ward (Ward 9, former District 5), Ho Chi Minh City.
Registration time lasts until 8:00 PM on March 22, 2026. The exam notification form will be sent via email from March 26, providing complete information about the exam room and exam time. The organizers note that they may stop receiving applications early if the number of registrations exceeds the capacity.
Candidates are allowed to register for a maximum of 2 specialized subjects but must not overlap with the exam schedule. According to the regulations of the official exam, candidates must take at least 4 exams including Math, Literature, Non-Specialized English and one specialized subject.
The mock exam is considered an important preparation step, helping students assess their abilities, learn from experience and adjust their review plans before entering the official 10th grade entrance exam.
