On April 14, Cuu Long University organized a meeting to celebrate the Chol Chnam Thmay Tet for officials, lecturers, and students of the Khmer people in 2026.
On behalf of the leaders of Cuu Long University, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung - Vice Rector of the school sent to all teachers and students who are Khmer compatriots the most respectful, warm and best New Year wishes!
Chol Chnam Thmay Tet is not only an occasion to welcome the new year but also a sacred moment for everyone to look towards their roots, preserve and promote the unique traditional cultural values of the Khmer people.
This is also an opportunity for us to spread the spirit of solidarity, attachment and respect for cultural diversity in the community of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
In recent years, Cuu Long University has always been proud to have the companionship of a team of lecturers and Khmer students, who not only strive in teaching and learning but also contribute to enriching the cultural identity of the University.
The school always cares and creates the most favorable conditions for Khmer ethnic minority students to study, train and develop comprehensively.
At the gathering, leaders of Cuu Long University organized lucky money giving and New Year greetings to all cadres, lecturers, and Khmer students working and studying at the school. Wishing teachers and students a happy, prosperous, healthy, and happy Chol Chnam Thmay Tet.
Currently, Cuu Long University has 06 officials, lecturers and more than 300 Khmer students. At the meeting, the school commended 80 Khmer students who achieved outstanding achievements in their studies in the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year.
Ms. Son Dien Linh Nhi, a student majoring in Law, course 24, shared, we feel extremely touched and grateful for the school's concern, creating conditions to organize and recreate the festival atmosphere right at the school.
This is not only an opportunity for Khmer students to ease their homesickness, but also an opportunity for students of other ethnic groups to better understand the traditional cultural beauty of the Khmer people. Thereby, contributing to tightening solidarity and cultural exchange between ethnic groups under the roof of Cuu Long University.
Also on April 14, Cuu Long University will organize a meeting to celebrate the Chol Chnam Thmay Tet and the Bun Pi May Tet for more than 82 Cambodian students (26 students) and Lao students (56 students) studying at the school.
