On May 20, the Department of Science and Technology of Vinh Long province coordinated with Cuu Long University to organize the Creative Startup Policy Dialogue Program for students.
The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Gioi - Deputy Director of Vinh Long Department of Science and Technology, representatives of departments and branches, and more than 300 students in the province.
At the forum, experts shared many contents related to the orientation of innovative startups according to Decision No. 336 and Decision No. 897 of the Prime Minister, and exchanged solutions to support young people to develop startup ideas in the new period.
According to the orientation for the period 2026 - 2030, Vinh Long province sets a goal to foster knowledge and skills for the team of Youth Union officials in charge of supporting startups, contributing to building an innovative and creative ecosystem among young people.

Representatives of Cuu Long University said that creative startups are identified as a key task in the strategy of training high-quality human resources, helping students improve their skills, bravery and ability to adapt to reality.
Over the past time, the school has achieved many positive results in scientific research and startup activities. The whole school has 172 student scientific research projects, of which 84 projects achieved excellent grades. In addition, 77 alumni have successfully started businesses in the fields of information technology, agriculture, mechanics and tourism.
At the program, the school also proposed many solutions to improve the effectiveness of startup support such as allocating projects according to strengths in each field, increasing resources for incubator models and building a close coordination mechanism between the school and related units.
