On January 9, Phu Lam Traffic Police Team, Ho Chi Minh City Police Traffic Police Department (PC08) launched a patrol to control and handle violations of passenger vehicles on Kinh Duong Vuong Street, National Highway 1A, and the section passing through the area under the Team's responsibility.
During the inspection, the working group focused on handling violations such as stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations and handling many cases of bus companies picking up passengers at "illegal stations".
In addition, traffic police also handle violations of passenger vehicles through images on the dash cam of each passenger vehicle.
A representative of the Phu Lam Traffic Police Team said that from December 15, 2024 to present, the Team has penalized more than 270 cases of passenger vehicles violating the law.
Among these, the most common violations are stopping, parking, and picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong place.
Since Decree 168/2024/ND-CP officially took effect, the Team has also increased the dissemination of new contents and regulations to drivers.
This person added that Decree 168/2024/ND-CP regulating administrative sanctions for violations of traffic order and safety in the field of road traffic; deduction of points, and restoration of driving license points officially taking effect from January 1, 2025 has many new regulations, increasing the fine level compared to the previous Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, forcing many drivers to strictly comply.
However, many people still do not fully understand the fines according to the new regulations, so in addition to patrolling, controlling and handling administrative violations, Phu Lam Traffic Police Team also conducts propaganda and dissemination of laws to bus companies and drivers so that people can clearly understand the information and strictly comply with the new regulations to ensure security, order and traffic safety in the area.
