On May 6, Hue City Police said that in order to strengthen the prevention and handling of gathering, racing, and disturbing public order, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police has coordinated with the Mobile Police Department and Working Group 1311 to deploy a peak period of patrolling and controlling from April 29, 2025.
The working group operated from 9pm to 2:30am the next morning, focusing on handling violations such as speeding, wheezing, weaving, revving the engine, racing and cheering for illegal racing. Patrol work is carried out in combination with publicity and disguise at hot spots such as AEON Mall, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Hoang Quoc Viet, To Huu, Nguyen Hoang Bridge, Bui Thi Xuan, Kim Long.
On the afternoon of April 30, at Km7 of Provincial Road 28 (Thuan An Ward), the authorities discovered N.H.D (born in 2009, a 10th grade student on Ngu Binh Street) driving a motorbike in a zigzag manner, causing disorder. The working group made a record and temporarily impounded the vehicle.
After only 6 days of deployment, the force recorded 79 violations, including 23 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 16 cases of not wearing helmets, 1 case positive for drugs, 34 cases without a driver's license and 10 cases of underage driving.
