Rectifying the management of construction order and environmental sanitation
In order to overcome limitations in planning and urban areas, the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 2224/UBND-XDĐT dated April 29, 2026, requesting to strengthen management of investment, planning, construction order, urban embellishment and environmental sanitation.
Accordingly, the Chairman of Can Tho requested the Department of Construction to take the lead in deploying the construction information model (BIM) in the fourth quarter of 2026, and study synchronous undergrounding solutions for electricity, lighting and telecommunications cables.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment has the task of reviewing and implementing the pilot plan for waste sorting at source in the fourth quarter of 2026, and at the same time inspecting and handling areas not allowed to raise swallows.

Proactively respond to El Nino and ensure domestic water sources

The Department of Construction and localities (especially Phu Loi, Soc Trang, My Xuyen wards) must have solutions to minimize the situation of weak water during peak hours, and publicize phone numbers to receive people's feedback.
Resolutely handle and prevent harassment and trouble.
Can Tho City People's Committee has issued Plan No. 192/KH-UBND to continue to organize the implementation of Directive No. 10/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on strengthening the handling and effective prevention of harassment and causing trouble for people and businesses.
The plan of Can Tho City People's Committee requires emphasizing the review of administrative procedures, not requiring supplementation of dossiers more than once and promoting the exemplary responsibility of the head.
Proactively responding to the disease of Foot-and-mouth disease SAT1
Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 2228/UBND-KT dated April 29, 2026, assigning the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, the City Police and related units to immediately implement proactive measures to prevent, monitor and respond to the risk of foot-and-mouth disease due to the virus belonging to the SAT1 serotype entering the area.
