On June 5, in alley 77C Tran Phu street, Cai Khe ward (Can Tho City), the Standing Committee of the Cai Khe Ward Youth Union organized a launching ceremony for the "Civilized - Safe - Green - Clean - Beautiful" road and alley model associated with digital transformation and waste sorting at source in 2026 and the "Youth Camera - for peaceful life" model.
Mr. Lai Phuoc Truong Thanh, Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Cai Khe Ward Youth Union - informed that the model is being implemented to build a sustainable civilized urban lifestyle, promoting the pioneering role of youth and the responsibility of the community.
With the desire to contribute to building a civilized and modern living environment, raising people's awareness of environmental protection, applying digital technology and promoting community responsibility, the model does not only stop at cleaning up, embellishing the landscape or propagating waste sorting at source, but also aims to build a civilized urban lifestyle in a sustainable way" - Mr. Thanh said.
On this occasion, the organizing committee presented 60 sorted trash cans, installed 2 security cameras in the alley, and presented 10 meaningful gifts to households in difficult circumstances in the area. The total implementation cost is more than 20 million VND.
Immediately after the launch of the model, in response to World Environment Day June 5th, the youth of Cai Khe ward actively carried out activities such as: environmental sanitation, whitening illegal billboards, implementing the Green Shelf model - exchanging recyclable waste for gifts, donating trash cans to sort inorganic and organic waste, and strengthening the landscape in the alley.
Ms. Doan Kim Phung (living in alley 77C) shared: "I hope that this model will become more and more effective, helping people raise awareness of waste sorting, contributing to the implementation of the beautiful road model.
