More than 500 doctors update orthopedic injury according to evidence medicine

Nearly 500 doctors attended the continuous medical training workshop (CME) with the theme "Access to orthopedic injuries according to evidence" organized by FV Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the thematic seminar organized by FV Hospital, many new advances in the treatment of musculoskeletal disease and orthopedic trauma have been updated, including: outer foxes, flat feet, shoulder dislocations, rheumatoid arthritis, and methods to help patients with less pain after hip replacement surgery, knee joint.

This is the effort of FV in the application of advanced treatments from the world and sharing to the domestic medical community, contributing to widely applied, bringing practical benefits to patients in Vietnam.

The seminar brings together many leading experts on orthopedic injuries, rehabilitation and resuscitation anesthesia in Ho Chi Minh City. The speakers shared their knowledge combining new research and practical experience, supporting doctors to improve the effectiveness of treatment.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Phuoc Hung - Chairman of the Workshop - Presentation of the first shoulder dislocations: Conservation or surgery should be treated. According to him, about 50% of patients for conservation treatment are not dislocated. Surgery helps reduce recurrence rate, especially for sports players, but can also cause complications and need careful consideration in each case.
