Meritorious Artist (NSUT) Hanh Thuy admitted that there was a time when she asked herself whether she should intervene to choose the best date and time to give birth to her child or not. According to the female artist, that is a very natural psychology of a mother, when everyone wants to give the luck and convenience to their child. However, that thought completely changed after she directly talked to the doctor.
If there is no medical indication, natural birth is always the best day," Hanh Thuy recounted her doctor's advice. She said that proactively setting a date and time for birth when pregnancy is completely normal is an action that goes against the laws of nature, posing many risks to both mother and baby's health. According to her, not every hospital or doctor is willing to do this, because it is not medically appropriate.
The female artist expressed concern about the view that giving birth on a beautiful day and beautiful hour will help children be lucky and more confident in the future. Hanh Thuy frankly refuted: if just giving birth at the "golden hour" is a smooth life, then society will no longer have unfortunate lives. She believes that too much faith in fate can cause parents to unintentionally place expectations in the wrong place, and even put pressure on their own children.
According to Hanh Thuy, the future of a child is not decided by the date and time of birth, but by education, living environment and personal efforts. She emphasized that intervening to have a baby born earlier than the time of full development can also have long-term physical consequences, while the health of mother and child is the most important thing.
Not only stopping at the story of childbirth, Hanh Thuy also shared how she raises children without emphasizing the element of luck. For the female artist, what she most desires is to become a "sufficiently stable mother", always accompanying her children both when they are successful and when they fail. According to her, when her child stumbles, it is the time when she needs her parents most - to be listened to, understood and gain more faith.
