Director - screenwriter Mai Long put a lot of effort into the new TV series called "Buong". He hopes that when watching, the audience can find empathy and believe in kind things, especially learning to let go of pain and keep kindness.
The film also brings together many of the most veteran actors ever, including: People's Artist Quoc Anh, People's Artist Thu Que, People's Artist Tien Dat, People's Artist Hoai Thu, People's Artist Quoc Tri, Meritorious Artist Tien Quang (Quang Teo), Meritorious Artist Doi Quan...

Director Mai Long said that the film was lucky to invite leading artists on the Vietnamese screen and this is also considered a "guarantee" for the success of the TV series "Buong" when it brought a new breath, connecting the artistic depth and perspective of contemporary life.
Explaining why he accepted to participate in the film Meritorious Artist Tien Quang (Quang Deo) shared that he was attracted by the script that was very different from the genres he had participated in before. There, the actor was able to try his hand at a character with too many moods as well as feel the pain that the character he played had to go through. Meritorious Artist Tien Quang hopes that this role can touch the hearts of viewers.

The film revolves around the story of Tinh (played by Thanh Huyen) - a single woman who left her hometown to work as a massage therapist in the city to raise a young child living with her grandfather (played by Meritorious Artist Tien Quang - Quang Teo).
After the breakdowns in her marriage with Hung (played by Phung Duc Hieu), Tinh tried to rebuild her life, but fate pushed her into new tragedies and traps, where kindness and lying always go hand in hand.
Meanwhile, Hung - the son of Mr. Manh (played by People's Artist Quoc Anh) and Mrs. Oanh (played by People's Artist Hoai Thu) - comes from a powerful family. Mr. Manh is an ambitious man, who has had complicated relationships with many people, causing his family to face many storms...

Speaking about the film, director and screenwriter Mai Long shared that Buong is not only a story about a woman, but a mirror reflecting todays life where people have to learn to let go of pain to keep their kindness.
Director Mai Long also revealed more about the difficulties in the production process when the film crew had to find a house along the river according to the script requirements but could not find it.
The crew had to build a bamboo house with a bit of a wall and then encounter it right at the time of the storm, so the filming here was quite difficult. And there are a few additional factors that make filming time longer than originally expected.

Mr. Quang Hung - the producer's representative said that the film "Buong" will send the audience 3 big messages: Giving up is not weakness, but courage. Only when we let go of hatred can people find true peace; Forgiveness is the path to freedom. Forgiving others is also freeing yourself from the darkness of the past; Compassion is an undying value. Although between calculation and lie, humanity still has the strongest saving power.
Right after the release of part 1, director Mai Long and his crew will continue filming "Buong" part 2 in November, expected to expand the plot line, exploiting more deeply the inner thoughts of each character in the film.
The film "Buong" is expected to be released on the occasion of Lunar New Year and broadcast on local TV stations and social networking platforms.
