When reading the script, I found the color of this character quite interesting and wanted to try my hand," Steven Nguyen shared.
Meanwhile, Ky Duyen plays Thi Mau. She said she liked the previous two parts of the film but also realized that this is a role with high difficulty, when the character goes through many psychological states in a short time.
According to producer Will Vu, Ky Duyen surprised during the casting process and continued to practice acting during the film preparation period. In Bac Ninh, she spent time practicing with NSND Le Khanh and researching the script to delve into the character.

Unlike the previous two parts, "Sisters and Sisters 3" expands the story to many character lines and places the characters in the ancient Northern cultural space. Bac Ninh was chosen as the main setting, with ancient houses, markets, horses and carriages and spaces restored according to documents.
The film crew also spent a lot of time preparing costumes and props to create an atmosphere suitable for the story. The setting of Thi Mau's house is built like a wealthy family in the region, with many items selected and collected to recreate the old space.
People's Artist Le Khanh appeared in the film as Thi Mau's mother, and also supported acting for the actors, including Ky Duyen.
According to the crew, "Sisters and Sisters 3" explores a love story in a society with many principles and rituals, and also mentions the fate of women in the past when they did not have the full right to decide their own happiness.
