Caused much controversy after being crowned Miss Vietnam 2014
Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen was born in 1996, from Nam Dinh, and was crowned Miss Vietnam 2014 while still a student at Hanoi Foreign Trade University.
After the contest, she got into many scandals that affected her image, so she stopped working in showbiz for a while.
Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen's tenure as Miss Universe was full of turmoil as she was constantly involved in scandals such as smoking in a coffee shop and appearing in drunk videos. These scandals caused Ky Duyen to be nicknamed "Miss Controversy".
After a series of scandals, Ky Duyen faced punishment from the Miss Vietnam organization, being stripped of the right to promote the contest for the following year and not being allowed to hand over the crown and scepter to the next beauty queen.

In 2016, at a fashion show, the beauty queen born in 1996 appeared with many changes in appearance. She tried on many outfits and appeared on the catwalk as a model.
In 2017, she became a coach on The Look - Brand Beauty and a judge on Vietnam Supermodel at the age of 22.
By 2022, Ky Duyen will continue her role as a coach at Miss Fitness - Miss Sports and The Face Brand Face.
In recent years, Ky Duyen has become sexier, younger and more stylish.
Ky Duyen also appeared at many fashion shows. She was even chosen as the vedette in many performance events.
In 2024, 10 years after being crowned Miss Vietnam, Ky Duyen surprised everyone when she continued to register to compete in Miss Universe Vietnam. In the outer rounds, Ky Duyen caused controversy because of her behavior, disappointing expressions, and catwalk performance.
On the evening of September 14, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 after much controversy. She will represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico.
In addition to winning the highest position at Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, she also won the "Most Favorite Contestant" award.
