Recently, singer Dong Lan officially introduced a community project called Redmoon through an art program called "Duyen". This is a multi-sensory art experience, combining music, contemporary dance, installation, meditation and community interaction, opening up a space where art becomes a material to connect and nurture the inner self.
The program is divided into three parts: "Khởi Duyên", "Kết Duyên" and "Duyên". If the first part explores the starting points of love, longing and hurt through musical materials and traditional stories such as "Dạ cổ hoài lang", then the second part expands the experience with interactive activities such as meditation, handpan sound and song circle, blurring the boundaries between the performer and the audience.
At the end, the journey to letting go and liberating the inner self is pushed to a climax, when each person identifies their own constraints and finds ways to overcome them.
Not stopping at one night of performance, "Duyen" is built by Dong Lan as a deep emotional journey, where audiences not only enjoy but also directly participate and dialogue with themselves and those around them. This approach clearly reflects the female singer's orientation in the new project: using art as a healing method, rather than just an entertainment tool.

Before entering the performance part, viewers are led through an installation exhibition space, recreating the journey of a woman's life through many stages: from childhood with the image of a little girl painting, to youth with brilliant personality, adulthood associated with responsibility and inner depth, and finally the image of a mother with sacrifice and connection.
Throughout the space is the symbol of the "red wool thread", representing memories, emotions and invisible connections between life's journeys. This journey closes with a blurry mirror work, where each person faces themselves as a step into the inner world.

Through "Duyen", I want to send a simple but consistent message: no meeting is random. The presence of people together in a space is already a "duyen". When each individual knows how to nurture happiness from within, the world around them can also become gentler and more complete," singer Dong Lan shared.
Duyen" closes in a quiet meditation space, where the audience is able to rewrite their emotions as a way to complete their personal journey. According to Dong Lan, art does not necessarily have to create immediate changes, but can become the starting point for transformation: "When someone starts to look at themselves differently, the world around them can also change.
Redmoon is a project that Dong Lan cherished during her time living and working in Paris, especially during the Covid-19 distancing period. Experiences of loneliness, psychological fluctuations and the need for self-healing have become the foundation for her to form the idea of a creative space for women.
The project aims to support women through art, promote community activities and accompany talented girls who face many difficulties in life.
Inspired by the image of the "red moon" (symbol of cycle, life and regeneration), Redmoon chooses to approach topics that are often avoided, especially related to women's bodies, emotions and inner lives.

Through the language of art, the project encourages the expression of difficult things, honoring both the wounds and hidden strengths inside each person. The image of the flame phoenix is chosen as the central symbol, as a metaphor for the ability to revive after a breakdown and the persistent continuation through many generations.
After the opening program, Redmoon will continue to develop as a creative ecosystem, including workshops on awareness and healing, small-scale community connection spaces, projects that intersect music, movement and visual arts, and activities to support young talents.
Dong Lan was once one of the most notable faces of the first season of The Voice of Vietnam gameshow. She also won a songwriting award with the song "Fear of Death" in the Vietnamese Song program. In 2019, the female singer decided to go to France to study Jazz at the American School of Modern Music in Paris from 2019.
In 2021, she was the first and only representative of Vietnam to enter the Best Song category of the Berlin Music Video Awards with the song Don't love alone.
