Reading nutritional components
For any packaged food, you should see the list of ingredients in the nutrition information table. Ingredients are listed in order of weight loss, and the first few ingredients make up the majority of snacks. Healthy snacks contain whole foods like nuts, beans, whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
Supplement protein
Protein helps regulate hunger and blood sugar levels, becoming an essential part of a healthy snack. Eating foods with protein, fiber, and complex carbohydrates can help you stay full longer.
Avoid adding too many routes
Added sugar is often found in prepackaged snacks to help enhance flavor. Limit your total daily added sugar intake to 36 grams (about 9 teaspoons) for men and 25 grams (about 6 teaspoons) for women. Higher added sugar intake is associated with an increased risk of heart disease.
Plan portions
Following the recommended dosage on the nutrition noticeboard will help you control calories, sugar and sodium. Snacks can be divided into individual portions to control the portion sizes.
