The conference includes 4 topics, including: Ultrasound endoscopy in intervention of biliary and pancreatic diseases; New advances in retrograde biliary and pancreatic endoscopy; The link between narrow-band endoscopic images (NBI) according to international classification (NICE) and histology and results of endoscopic dissection of colorectal polyps at Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital in 2024–2025; Common lesions images on upper gastrointestinal endoscopy in children.

MSc.BS. Nguyen Van Hoang - Director of Hoan My Cuu Long Hospital said that at the unit, the gastroenterology department recorded 26,050 visits in 2024 and 25,698 visits in 2025, belonging to the group of three specialties with the highest visits in the whole institute in both years.

According to MSc. Dr. Nguyen Van Hoang, the hospital regularly receives cases of stomach and duodenal ulcers, HP infection, gastrointestinal bleeding, polyps, liver, gallbladder and pancreatic diseases, as well as precancerous lesions and digestive tract cancer.

The above figures show that digestive endoscopy plays a very important role in screening, diagnosis and treatment. Endoscopy not only helps doctors directly observe lesions, take pathological tissue samples, but also supports early detection of polyps, precancerous lesions and digestive tract cancer; and also allows the implementation of many intervention techniques such as polyp removal, hemostasis, foreign object removal and treatment of biliary-pancreatic diseases," MSc. Dr. Nguyen Van Hoang stated clearly.

In August 2026, the Hospital put into operation the digestive - endoscopic center with 6 modern endoscopic rooms. The center was invested more than 57 billion VND in infrastructure, equipment and endoscopic systems, capable of serving from 60–90 cases per day.
