At the European Interventional Cardiology Conference 2026 recently held in Paris, the announcement session of research results after 4 years of the randomized trial BIOADAPTOR RCT surprised international experts when it proved that the DynamX Bioadaptor device (developed by Elixir Medical) continues to maintain superior efficiency compared to drug-coated stents (DES), helping to reduce the rate of failure after intervention for many cardiovascular patients.
Specifically, after 4 years of monitoring, the biological alignment framework showed that the TLF incident rate was 66% (2.8% compared to 7.8%; p=0.020) lower than DES, reflecting significant clinical benefits and long-term sustainability of coronary artery disease treatment using the biological alignment framework.
These findings highlighted the important difference between biologically adapted skeletal implants and drug-coated stents: while adverse events continued to increase over time for drug-coated stents, DynamX Bioadaptor showed stability in the rate of events after blood vessel function was restored 6 months after the procedure.
Also presented at the EuroPCR 2026 Conference, another study from Sweden called INFINITY-SWEDEHEART on 2,400 patients continued to confirm the superiority of this technology over modern drug-coated stents. 2-year data shows that the vasoconstrictor rehabilitation benefits of DynamX Bioadaptor are consistent in all approaches.
Regardless of the method, the device still provides stable treatment results after self-locking in the 6th month, helping to simplify intervention techniques for clinicians.
Currently, the biological coordination framework has been successfully applied in about 40 leading hospitals nationwide. With the approval of the Ministry of Health and payment by Health Insurance (HI), coronary artery patients in Vietnam have the opportunity to access the world's most advanced treatment solution at a reasonable cost.
