The project is being implemented to concretize the orientation of the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and the General Planning of the old Ha Long City to 2040. Thereby contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people in Quang Ninh province and neighboring areas, attracting high-quality doctors and human resources.
In terms of scale, the project will build a project with 01 basement and 01 upper floor with an area of about 425m2 to install and operate the Cyclotron, PET/CT system. At the same time, the project will also purchase equipment, construction interior, and specialized medical equipment ( Cyclotron system, PET/CT and accessories, synchronous connection.
The project will focus on the production of positional radioactive synthesized drugs with short life expectancy, especially F-18, used in PET vs FDG photography (a medical imaging technique combined with positional scanning with radioactive markers to detect the activity of cells in the body) for cardiovascular, neurological and cancer diseases; distributing FDG and radioactive pharmaceutical drugs with short life expectancy; contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment at Bai Chay Hospital.
This is an important step forward to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, especially in the field of nuclear medicine and cancer treatment in Quang Ninh province.
The project belongs to group B with a total estimated investment of about 427 billion VND from the provincial budget. The project will be implemented in 2025 and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2026.
