Uncontrolled stress
High stress is a factor that can increase blood sugar levels. When we are stressed, the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline are released, which can increase blood sugar levels and disrupt normal insulin function.
Not drinking enough water
When you are not hydrated, glucose will be more concentrated in the blood, which can cause glucose levels to increase. The liquid requirement of each individual can vary depending on the climate, sweat, physical activity and disease.
Not getting enough sleep
Not getting enough sleep can cause blood sugar levels to increase. High blood sugar often disrupts sleep, especially if you often go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Ideally, sleep 7 - 9 hours a night. Try to have a consistent sleep schedule, while having a sleep and wake schedule at the same time every day.
