From September to December 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health will organize an inspection and assessment of the quality of medical examination and treatment activities at 264 dental and maxillofacial clinics in the area. These are facilities that have been in operation for 6 months or more and have implementedplant transplantation techniques.
According to the plan issued on May 18, clinics subject to inspection must self-assess the quality according to the set of criteria issued by the Department of Health, and at the same time enter the assessment results into the online system before July 15, 2025.
The inspection was chaired by the Department of Health, including 5 independent inspection teams. Each team has the participation of leaders of specialized departments, experts from specialized hospitals and representatives of local health departments.
The assessment at the facility will be conducted through field observation, interviews with personnel, and inspection of records and professional documents.
In addition to the goal of detecting and correcting violations, the Department of Health requires clinics to prepare complete records and arrange personnel to coordinate with the inspection team. In particular, it is mandatory to have the presence of a person in charge of technical expertise and representatives of the facility's leaders.
Notably, many specialized hospitals such as the Central Dentistry Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the Dentistry Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the ENT Hospital, Children's Hospital 1 and Trung Vuong Hospital will send experts, especially infection control experts, to join the inspection team to ensure an objective and comprehensive assessment of the quality of medical examination and treatment.
